Try Kaiyo - it will be your favorite restaurant in Islamorada. Chef Michael and his staff will serve you the best meal in the most beatiful restaurant. The walls are truly art. We tried the kobe, perfect and the best hogfish we have ever had. When we found out they were open for lunch, we went the next day. No one can beat their buffet, or price. It is the best kept secret in the Keys!

There is a restaurant in Islamorada you have to try. Kaiyo is in front of the monument we visited. We noticed it right away and decided to try it. What a beautiful restaurant. Our group at everything from sushi (the fresh fish selection is incredible) Their salads are delicious. The rolls we had were fabulous, one was Crunchy #2, THE BEST!!! They have a really great wine selection too. Beleive me, everyone in our group was very happy when we left. And the staff are so friendly and professional. What made the night even more special was Chef Michael came out to our table himself to introduce himself. We felt very special. Check Kaiyo out, you will have a great dining experiance.

We were passing thru Islamorada, on our way to Key West. What a gem we found. Kaiyo! The best local fish! The sake selection was great. The decor of Kaiyo is beautiful. My Son had a Hogfish roll, tastes better than it sounds. It was crispy coated in macadamia nuts and had mango and pineapple with a delicious mango sauce. My husband really enjoyed a Kobe beef tataki(not my cup of tea) and a nice selection of sushi. I had a Key Lime Lobster roll with heart of palm in a tempura crust, just wonderful. Our waitress recomended a white chocolate pie w/ macadamia nuts and drizzled w/ dark chocolate and caramel. I want more pie! I'll be stopping at this place when we return to Florida.
